The MVPs “The Most Valuable Players,” from Southern California, are one of the top musical acts performing today. A collection of world class talents, they have been wowing crowds around the country with their spectacular performances for years…appearing with such greats as Santana, Ray Charles, Gypsy Kings, Chaka Khan, DEVO, Blondie, Sheila E, Earth Wind & Fire, Kenny G, Tom Jones, Ritchie Sambora and the Go-Go’s, as well as more contemporary artists including pop superstars Fergie, Kelly Clarkson, Pussycat Dolls  & Sarah Brightman. The MVPs performed at six MGM NYE shows in a row, backing up artists like The Four Tops, Pointer Sisters, The Temptations and opened the show for Katy Perry at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. The band mixes Rock, R&B, Latin, Swing, and current Pop and Hip Hop grooves to create a high energy dance sound all their own. Their enthusiasm is overwhelmingly infectious, and they’re guaranteed to make every event a major success.
Each performance is custom tailored to the needs of the client by musical director and well-known composer Justin Reinhardt, whose work includes the score for the hit film “Swingers” and music for HBO’s ever popular “Sex and the City.” The band’s fresh approach brings a contemporary style and energy to all their material, drawing from a highly danceable repertoire of classic and current hits, from Sinatra and Etta James to Bruno Mars and Beyonce. Musician, studio engineer, businessman, and founder of the MVP’s, Ric has over 25 years of experience in entertainment and event production. Whether on the stage, in the studio, or in corporate executive offices Ric’s passion and expertise has not only helped elevate the MVP’s to the highest level of success, he created the MVP launching pad for many great artists. Performing across the country, from Miami to Hawaii, Park City, and Las Vegas, he has shaped the band’s outstanding national reputation, booking the most exclusive, and high-end venues, and meeting the needs of exacting clients for events of every scale.

Justin Reinhardt

Musical Director/Keyboards

Well known for his work in film, television and record industry, Justin studied at the Berklee College of Music before returning to his native Los Angeles to build an impressive resume embodying the full creative spectrum of the music business. A much sought after keyboardist and arranger, he began working with mega-producer Dr. Dre and other West Coast hip-hop artists, performing on numerous platinum albums with the likes of Snoop Dogg, NWA, Eminem, The Pharcyde, Warren G and LL Cool J, among countless others.

His work as musical director for live concert performances has taken him all over the world with major acts, including MC Hammer’s spectacular 1990 “Don’t Hurt ‘Em Tour”. And as a jazz musician his work includes performances at the Playboy Jazz Festival and the House Of Blues, performing and recording with many great artists including Jimmy Scott, Justo Almario, Anthony Wilson, Alex Acuna and Luis Conte. Additional highlights include television appearances on The Tonight Show, The Arsenio Hall Show, Prime Time Country at The Grand Olde Opry, a special MTV live performance for Michael Jackson and taking the stage at New Orleans’ 80,000 seat arena, The Super Dome.

As a composer and producer, Justin has created music for theater, television and movies, including writing and recording the score for Miramax’s cult indie film classic, “Swingers”. His songs have been featured in numerous popular TV shows including “Sex and The City”.
Justin draws on all these areas of expertise in his work with the MVP’s, crafting sophisticated and dynamic arrangements that are designed to excite audiences and generate maximum audio visual impact. As a Musical Director, he is in close contact with large-scale event producers and entertainment directors at the biggest venues across the country, working with them directly to tailor MVP shows to the specific creative needs of each event.

Annette Frank

Vocals/Choregraphy

Born and raised in Seal Beach, California, Annette began singing and dancing at age three, landing her first professional role in the musical “Annie” at age seven, and booking her first national television commercial at age eight. Growing up a Disney performer, she went on to appear at venues across the country including Southern California’s Arrowhead Pond, and appeared on television’s Good Morning America as well as episodes of Beverly Hills 90210.

Annette now lives in Los Angeles where in addition to working with the MVP’s, she does studio work as a singer/voice over actress. Returning to her theatrical roots, she recently appeared in “Blues Schoolhouse” at the famed House Of Blues, a show created to educate children and teens about the rich musical heritage that has had such a major impact on her own life. With power-house vocals and eye-popping dance moves, she always brings a vibrant energy and dramatic flair to the MVP show.

Jeff Vezain

Vocals/Choreography

A singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/danver originally from Chicago, Jeff has worked as a vocalist over the last eleven years with numerous bands, performing for audiences nationwide. Writing and recording original material, he has showcased with live performances ranging form solo-acoustic gigs at the venerable Uncommon Ground Coffeehouse & Cafe, to full-band performances at the legendary House Of Blues. Jeff has also lent his voice to radio and television ads, his image to print ads, and danced with an entertainment company, performing extensively at events throughout the Chicago area.

A solid drummer as well as guitarist, Jeff was an audition finalist for the lead role in the hit theatrical show “Blue Man Group”, and workshopped fro two days in NYC with members of the New York production. He also studied acting at Chicago’s Act One Studio and The Audition Studio, appearing in short films, numerous showcases, and playing the role of Gaveston in a contemporary adaptation of Christopher Marlowe’s classic “King Edward the II” at the Bailiwick Theater in Chicago. Since moving to Los Angeles, Jeff has become an integral part of the MVP’s high-energy stage show, sharing his versatile vocal style, dynamic dance moves, and youthful enthusiasm with an ever-growing fan base across the country.

Todd Washington

Guitar/Vocals

Originally from Boston Massachusetts, Todd has been a fixture and mentor on the LA music scene for over a decade. Blending elements of blues, folk, rock, soul & gospel, he has worked with many of the industry’s top artist including: Chaka Kahn, Taj Mahal, Adrian Belew, Michelle Shocked, Babyface, John Densmore and countless others. Multitalented, an accomplished guitarist, singer, bassist, percussionist and songwriter, he is much sought after, and brings his own special quality to the stage as the newest member of the MVP’s.

Brandon Alameda

Vocals/Choreography

Brandon Alameda is a versatile talent whose diverse credits include television, film and live professional theater, as well as his outstanding work in the music industry.

He studied music, dance, and acting with the Benny Smith Academy for the Performing Arts, as well as Encore Performing Arts, under the direction of Benny Smith and Alice Faye respectively, performing consistently and professionally throughout California, the U.S. and internationally for more than 15 years. His many talents have led him to work with numerous reputable productions, completing projects with Disney, Universal, Paramount and Sony.

Brandon’s solid tenor vocals have been compared to the likes of contemporary Broadway stars Sam Harris, Adam Pascal, and Raul Esparza, as well as recording legends George Michael, Steve Perry and the incomparable Elton John. Besides working regularly with the MVP’s, his recent projects include hosting a pre-show for Disney’s HSM3: Senior Year at the El Capitan Theater and singing featured vocals on FOX’s Boston Legal. Other recent highlights include co-starting on MAD TV, singing lead tenor in the pop/rock a cappella band VYBRATION (formerly Disney’s GROOVE 66) and originating the role of Pepper in the Original Las Vegas Company of Hit Broadway Musical MAMMA MIA! Brandon can also be found performing regularly in the Upright Cabaret as well as the 88’s Cabaret in Los Angeles, both of which have consistently garnered rave reviews and continue to play host to star-studded A-list audiences.

His infectious enthusiasm, and wide range of performing styles, makes him an asset to any production, and fuel every memorable performance he delivers.

Joel Alpers

Drums

Born in Tanzania, drummer Joel Alpers graduated from UCLA where he studied theory, world music, and African percussion, and has since worked continuously as a freelance musician in Los Angeles.

Joel has performed and recorded with countless artists including: Steve Tyrell, the Royal Crown Revue, Herbie Hancock, Justo Almario, Anthony Wilson, Luis Conte, Lew Soloff, Jeff Berlin, Otmaro Ruiz, and many others. His work has been featured in numerous film and television soundtracks, as well as dozens of jingles and theatrical productions. When not performing with the MVP’s he can currently be heard playing drums in the orchestra for the smash Broadway musical “Wicked” at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater.

As a producer, Joel has just completed work on the debut release from singer Melissa Fahn, “Avignon”, an album he also arranged and wrote songs for. He is currently composing the music for the forthcoming film “Old Dogs” and creating the musical arrangement for the theatrical adaptation of the film “Once”. He is also assisting composer James Horner on the soundtrack for director James Cameron’s upcoming release “Avatar”.

David Crozier

Saxophone

David Crozier began playing professionally at the age of 15 in his hometown of Flagstaff, Arizona and has been working as a professional musician for over 25 years playing concert and club dates, recording session, house gigs, back-up bands, casual and private events. He was a featured performer with his group and the Santa Barbra International Jazz Festival and has appeared on Entertainment Tonight along with President Bill Clinton, Kenny G, and Clarence Clemons. Besides recording and performing with his own group, David has been recording a touring all over the world with Eddie Money, Linda Hopkins, James Brown, Brian Wilson, the Swing Kings, Big Jay McNeely, Christian Castro, Billy Sheets and the Blue Diamonds, Beth Heart, Rabito, Mitch Woods, and the Brian Setzer Orchestra.

He contracted the band and appeared in a Levis Dockers jeans commercial, which appeared during the Super Bowl, and led the band that backed up Liza Minnelli on the ABC show Extreme Makeover. Most recently he entertained over 10,000 Washington State fans at the Rose Bowl tailgate party. He’s played with members of the Tonight Show Band, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Earth Wind and Fire, Elton John’s band, Don Rickles, Tom Jones, Chicago…you’ve probably heard his sax on TV, the Big Screen, or the radio. On the local scene you can hear David playing everywhere from BB King’s to the House Of Blues to the Beverly Hills Hotel to the Groundlings Theater. A cum laude graduate of California State University Northridge and graduate with high honors from Mesa Community College, David currently resides in the Los Angeles area where he teaches, composes and performs.
